Hello Family,
Time is the most valuable commodity in the world for it is the only thing, once lost or wasted, that cannot be returned. One of the greatest skills that can be learned is the effective use of time. When that skill is mastered, all others will be made easier. Time management, as we like to call it today, is an important skill to master for any individual.
Far too many people waste far too much time with things and people that have no meaning, no value, and no purpose in their lives. For example, how much time do you waste watching pointless TV shows, surfing the internet, or gossiping about other people's business? How much time do you spend worrying about things that never happen or worrying about people that you could be praying for? How much time do you spend complaining about the way things are or the way things aren't yet do nothing to change them? This is the essence of wasting time. It is doing things that are non-productive or doing nothing, when you could be doing things that would align your life with God's will and lead you toward your destiny.
How are you using your time? Are you treating time as the valuable commodity that it is? Are you using every moment to accomplish the tasks and assignments that God has placed before you? In this first month of the year, take the time to evaluate how you are spending your waking hours.
Categorize how much time you are spending working, on the computer, driving, with family, etc. Be honest as you review your day. See just how much time you are wasting in a day. When you have done this, determine to waste less time and to use more of your time to bless and glorify God. I promise it will be one of the best moves that you have ever made.
On God's schedule,
Pastor J.M. Hurst
