The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly perverse and corrupt and severely, mortally sick! Jeremiah 17:9 AMP
Have you ever bitten into a delicious looking apple only to find that it is rotten and there’s a worm looking right at you? Ugh! That’s just a little snapshot of your heart, dear friend. It looks good on the outside but up close and personal your heart is conniving, vicious, cruel, revengeful, putrid, and every other awful adjective you can think of! David knew this all to well, that’s why he prayed, “Create in me a clean heart, O God” (Psalms 51:10 KJV).
Dear fiend, your evil heart has to go to! Are you interested in receiving a new one? If you are, all you have to do is ask God for one. Once you do, you must rest in the knowledge that you have a new heart for God said, “I will give you a new heart with new and right desires, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony heart of sin and give you a new, obedient heart” (Ezekiel 26:26 NLT).
