Convicted but Not Changed

Do you believe the prophets? [Do you give credence to God’s messengers and their word?] Acts 26:27 AMP

Paul stood before King Agrippa, the governor, and an august assembly of nobles and dignitaries. With the king’s permission Paul shared his testimony with all present. As he brought his speech to a close he looked at the king and asked him if he believed what the prophets said. King Agrippa believed. Yet, eight words escaped his lips that would forever change the course of his life – “Almost thou persuades me to be a Christian” (Acts 26:28 KJV)

What about you, dear friend? Are you suffering from the “almost” syndrome? Do you believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God, who lived a sinless life, died, rose, and is soon to return? If you do, but you’re afraid you’ll lapse into disbelief shortly after you finish reading this thought, don’t despair. Just pray this prayer right now, “Lord, I believe; but help me not to doubt!” (Mark 9:24 KJV, NLT)
