The purpose of the Music ministry is to create an atmosphere of worship through song that ushers in the presence of the Almighty God. We seek forth to encourage and incite an active and participatory worship service that will draw hearts and minds towards Christ. It is our goal to elevate and enhance the worship service by giving Glory to God in the highest and to prepare the people to receive and obey the Word of God.
The Music Ministry’s primary mission is to unite all in lifting the name of Jesus High. It is our duty to aid in setting a spiritual pace and tone for the worship service by offering diverse music selection that bridges the gap of all generations by encompassing all facets of Christian praise and worship. It is our mission to align our ministry to the Word of God and the overall mission and vision of the church through the delivery of; Christ-centered music that shares the love of Christ to those who are in need of him; Spirit led worship that has the power to shift the atmosphere; Anointed music that edifies, inspires, and challenges the body of Christ to have a deeper relationship with God; Intelligent music that quickens the consciousness of the people to seek after righteousness; Music that soothes the soul and open up the hearts and minds of the people to focus on the matchless power and awesomeness of God.

Sing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to praise Him. Praise the Lord with the harp; Make music to him on the ten string lyre. Sing to him a new song; Play skillfully, and shout for joy. For the word of the Lord is right and true; He is faithful in all he does. Psalms 33:1-4

Southeast Basketball teams participates in the Allegheny West Basketball League and offers recreation for our youth ages 10 and above who loves playing basketball. Every year Southeast plays in a youth church basketball league. Players as young as ages 10 can take part. The season starts in the fall and goes through early spring. There are playoffs and a championship game for each group. Our teams have been in the finals for their respective divisions for the past 6 years.
These games provide an opportunity for our young people to engage in fun and competitive activity. It also provides an opportunity for members to fellowship with each other in an environment outside of church. Once you attend one game, we are sure you will be hooked and keep coming back for more fun!
The mission of Steps2Christ is to minister the Word of God by using creative movement to encourage and fulfill a worship experience that exemplifies love, expresses gratitude and joy. Through this ministry, we use our temples as an instrument of worship to bring honor, glory, and praise to God.
Not to entertain the church, but to offer up a sacrifice of praise and worship to the Lord, so we may usher in the body of Christ into the Holy of Holies where they can sit at His feet and know Him more. Letting their praises be a sweet fragrance to the Lord. We will be a Royal Priesthood Ministering to God. Through our Dance we will prepare the way for the presence of the Lord.
This ministry will be directed towards the young ladies of Southeast from ages 15 and up, yet open to any young lady in the community that has a desire to worship and praise God.
The more seasoned women are responsible for mentoring the young ladies to become great women of God by encouraging them to see God through prayer, bible studies and to use their gifts of worship/creative movement to honor God.
In addition, we desire to translate the value of praise dance to both pastors and church congregations.
Women’s Ministries encourages women to improve their potential and participation in the mission of the church. It provides a support system for hurting women, and a forum to help address topics and issues as they affect women in and out of the church. It promotes programs to mentor young women and encourages college young women academically through a scholarship program. This program is funded primarily through the Three-Way Scholarship fund. Women’s Ministries encourages women to become involved in all areas of ministry in their church, their community and in their home, recognizing that women have many Gifts of the Spirit. It attempts to help women discover and use these gifts to the glory of God.
1. Foster spiritual growth and renewal among women. Affirm that women are of inestimable worth by virtue of their creation and redemption, and equip them for service in the church.
2. Minister to the broad spectrum of women’s needs across the life span, being sensitive to multicultural and multi-ethnic perspectives.
3. Cooperate with other specialized departments of the church to facilitate the ministry to women and of women.
4. Build goodwill among women in the world church that encourages bonds of friendship, support for service, and the creative exchange of ideas and information.
5. Mentor and encourage Seventh-day Adventist women, creating paths for their involvement in the church as they reach for their potential in Christ.
Find ways and means to challenge each Seventh-day Adventist woman to use her gifts to complement the talents of others as they work side by side to further the global mission of the church.
Selah is an interpretive dance ministry for girls’ ages 9 and up, focused on teaching young ladies to be an integral part of worship by ministering through expressive praise.
This ministry includes praise dance, interpretive dance, and worship using banner, flags and streamers. Through the expression of praise and interpretive dance, we transform our praise, love, thankfulness, and loyalty to the Father.
Our mission is to teach young ladies the importance of worship and how they can dedicate their bodies wholeheartedly to open and expressive praise to God.
What does Selah mean? Selah is a word that appears seventy-three times in the Psalms and is also in Habakkuk Chapter 3. It is a musical terms and it means to pause or reflect. When we see Selah in scripture it means we should pause and reflect on these words. It is also believed that when the word Selah appears it indicates and instrumental interlude because the Psalms are poetry often to music.
