Literature EvangelistThis title is given to a person who dedicates time to taking from home to home truth-filled literature to sell, leave on donation or give as free literature. However, money is not their main focus. They are also to pray with the individuals, offer them personal Bible studies, or open the Bible right there if that opportunity arises. Literature evangelists are soulsmen, not salesmen. They find people who are searching for truth and bring it to them, but they also make a connection with that individual that another church member could follow up on.
The Bible truth that is printed covers many key areas of the Christian life for young and old, such as the moral, spiritual, and physical aspects of character building. Through the books The Great Controversy, Daniel and Revelation, Christs Object Lessons, Ministry of Healing, Bible Stories, Bible Reference Library, etc., literature evangelism was to be "broad and extensive" and very far reaching.
There are many proven methods of distributing literature such as:
- Door to door in your community
- Libraries
- Contacts, friends, relatives
- Christian Book party
- Health seminars
- Stands placed in shopping malls, bus and rail stations
- Handed out on the streets
- Doctors' surgeries
